I still recommend it to anyone wishing to learn a language, at least if you can get access to it for free.

    2. How do you feel about your level of conversational fluency? Have you ever studied German in schoool or with a textbook?

    3. < ![CDATA[I studied it at school but I never felt comfortable with it. I think it helped since there are grammar details that Pimsleur doesn't explain - it just hoped you learnt it automatically.

    As far as being conversationally fluent, I'm comfortable with what I know. I've been able to understand the lessons pretty much straight away and answer quite quickly with the grammar being generally automatic. But I feel my vocabulary is far too small which means any German I try and read or listen to degenerates into gibberish ("some guy did something somewhere with a something because of something").

    And I'm not sure there is an easy way to learn vocabulary...]]>
