As far as being conversationally fluent, I&#039;m comfortable with what I know. I&#039;ve been able to understand the lessons pretty much straight away and answer quite quickly with the grammar being generally automatic. But I feel my vocabulary is far too small which means any German I try and read or listen to degenerates into gibberish (&quot;some guy did something somewhere with a something because of something&quot;).
